8/03/08— San Francisco Marathon and Half Marathon

Awesome marathon with great views and not as many hills as you think.  The course is challenging but beautiful.  Last few miles are a bit out of character but then you finish in a town that can really take care of you… and your crew.

8/16/08— Tri For Fun #3 (400ydS-11mB-3mR)

400 yard swim, bike distance 11 miles, 3.1 mile run.

Shadow Cliffs Regional Park, Pleasanton.

This 'Series' is designed for novices. At the same time, it offers great time trial/training brick or grudge match for the experienced athlete. The swim is in a warm (72+ degrees) clean lake, (wet suits allowed but are not necessary). The bike course exits the park and is open paved road and the run is within the park on packed jeep fire trail.

8/31/08— Montaña de Oro Trail Run

8 Km, 12 Km, 25 Km, & 50 Km (hikers welcome)

Pacific Coast Trails is in high gear this year.  Another trail along the coast with killer views.  Give this one a try and you will be hooked...

8/24/08—Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Run 13K, 24K, 32K, and 50K

Pacific Coast Trail Runs— does it again.  Salt Point State Park, Jenner, CA.  The park is 18 miles north of Jenner along Coast Highway One MAP.  Incredible beauty on this trail.  This is not just an event but is an experience!

Above all, train hard, eat light, and avoid television and people with bad attitudes.
